With effect from 13 December, 2021 (12:01 AM Eastern Standard Time), the outsourcing service provider – VFS Global – is accepting all visa applications, including Emergency Visa applications. Our advisory in this regard may be seen at public notice on visa outsourcing.

 

The 365 days Emergency Visa service is for US passport holders of Indian origin and their family members required to visit India due to a genuine family emergency, such as accident, critical illness or death of a family member. Documentary evidence will need to be provided and the applicant will be charged an emergency service fee.

 

Applicants residing within the CONSULAR JURISDICTION of the Consulate General of India, Chicago requiring Emergency Visa may go through the documents check list for Emergency services available at the website of VFS Global (https://services.vfsglobal.com/one-pager/india/united-states-of-america/visa-services/#emergency).

After completion of visa applications and attaching supporting documentation, the applicants may submit their applications: -

On Weekdays ( Monday – Friday) : Between 9 AM to 4 PM

Emergency visa application on weekday/working day will be submitted in-person at VFS Global India Consular Application Center, 180 N Stetson Ave, Chicago, IL 60601
