Janjatiya Gaurav Divas 2025 to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda

Honoring the courage and legacy of India’s tribal heroes, the Consulate marked Janjatiya Gaurav Divas to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda at the National India Hub in Schaumburg, IL. The program was organized in association with NRI Association of Chhattisgarh (NACHA); Bihar & Jharkhand Association of Midwest; Friends of Madhya Pradesh, North American Manipur Association and the Odisha Society of the Americas. Respective speakers discussed the contribution of Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh from Chattisgarh, Tantiya Bhil, Rani Avantibai, Shankar Shah & Raghunath Shah, Bhima Naik from Madhya Pradesh, Rani Gaidinliu from Manipur, Laxman Nayak, Baji Rout, Veer Surendra Sai from Odisha. Enthusiastic performances by children and diaspora members added color to the event, highlighted by a moving rendition of Vande Mataram.
